We'll Never Make it Without Wings
42" x 54" Original oil on canvas
With recorded poem

(Recorded Poem)

The Man in the Moon came down
Just to get some last minute instructions,
"The World is coming to an end" he said,
And there are only a few bright ones of us left.
We can either grow wings or
Hop a flight with a UFO to a better land,
Or we can behave like angels...
We have been so bad to this planet,
We'll have to be incredibly good to save ourselves.
After all, WE are the endangered species.
In any case, we'll never made it without wings."
The wingless Angel said, "You've taken everything you could,
You've binged much more than you should...
Oil, trees, gasoline, and shopping sprees.
Time for the inevitable...
The entire planet must go on a diet!
Stop the waste, all the waste,
And spare us from those prone to riot.
Forgive yourself and everyone else,
And consider this: Reimburse the planet daily
Spiritually, ethically, and morally.
For truly, it is time to be born again,
and again, and again, and again"
"Oh, O.K." said The Man in the Moon,
"Begin"
